The Governor of Akwa Ibom State of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has said that the State airline, Ibom Air will commence flying to Banjul. The Governor was speaking on Monday at Government House in Uyo when he received Gambian High Commissioner to Nigeria, H.E. Mohammed Papa Njie. The Governor cited the importance of bilateral relations between The Gambia and his state noting the great Tourism potential. He conveyed his gratitude to the Gambian President through High Commissioner Njie.
Responding, Njie who delivered a letter from President Barrow to the Governor, assured the latter of full cooperation to facilitate the flight operations. He conveyed the personal regards of the President and that of the Gambian people.
