Barely one month after her appointment as Media Ambassador for the Former Presidents’ Wives Coalition, the Gambian media mogul, Lady Chilel Sarr aka ‘The Boss Lady,’ has recorded several accomplishments for the coalition, creating the required connections across the African continent.
Appointed in October 30th,this year, the owner of one of the renewed magazines in The Gambia, the Elegance Magazine, has opened doors for the coalition, making it easy to access and network with both serving and former first ladies across Africa.
Working alongside Madam Fatimata Nipe Momoh, wife of late President Joseph Saidu Momoh of Sierra Leone, Madam Chilel and Momoh first met with Lady Chilel N’jie, wife of late President Sir Dawda Jawara of The Gambia,who shared her experience with the team.
They also had a meeting with the wife of former President Laurent Gbagbo Ivory Coast, Simone Gbabo and recently in Nigeria where they met with former first ladies including the wife of late General Sani Abacha-Maryam Abacha,Torai Yaradua-wife of late President Yaradua, and Vitoria Gowon-wife of Biafra hero, General Gowon.
She also facilitated a meeting between Madam Fatimata Nipe Momoh and First Lady Fatima Bio, who further promised to meet with other members of the coalition before the launch in Guinea.
Madam Chilel is excited to working with the coalition and creates more links that would boost the morale of the coalition. She is an accomplished media owner with connections across Africa and beyond.
